123 Challenge – January 2017 – Proud Chef
Happy New Year everyone – and I for one am working on 2017 being a much better year for myself and my family. We have had a few years of bad luck and heartache, which is all going to change!
The new year means a new month and a new Challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog, which I really loved creating with. And not just because it is my challenge either….
I chose to grab a pack of leftovers from my stash and a photograph of Milton and one of his cooking triumphs. Milton is becoming quite a good cook – when he doesn’t tweak the recipe too much in one of his experimental moods.
I have used a few layers of paper and die-cuts, some mist spots and sequins to create my simple layout – which I wanted to be all about the photograph and journaling even though they were only small.
I love how the three colours of Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist (Yellow Rose of Texas, Lucky Shamrock Green, Hydrangea Blue) overlapped and slightly mixed as they dried – naturally of course.
This pack is actually some of the leftovers from several classes I did earlier in 2016 using the Kaisercraft Pop! collection – not bad for a pack of scraps.
The effort that Milton has put into learning to cook and look after himself has truly paid off now that he is an adult and he can impress his friends with his skills in the kitchen or on the BBQ. Apparently the girls in his group of friends appreciate his skills the most.
So now that is it from me for the time being, and it is over to you to create with this awesome challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog:
Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
