Happy 2009 & a Sketch Challenge

Welcome to 2009….And welcome to my new improved Blog.  I don’t do the resolution thing, they are just too hard to keep up with and my hectic life usually gets in the way (mostly before the end of the first week).  Anyway here goes with my new blog and loads of inspiration for everyone to share.

Monthly Sketch Challenge

The first item on the list is a Monthly Sketch Challenge to help keep the inspiration flowing.  Complete my sketch challenge this month (by 31 January 2009) and upload it to the new Scrapbook Fantasies Gallery (here), be sure to include “Alicia’s Sketch Challenge – January 2009” somewhere in the name or description (so I can find it), email me once you have it there, I will load it here and send you a special little pack of goodies. Here it is….

Something to try…

Next time your Scrapbooking and before sticking that sticker straight onto the page why not stick it to a piece of Acid Free film (also called transparency), trim as close as you can and then apply to your page with either foam (if the sticker was opaque/not see-thru) or dimensional magic.  You can use this technique with rubons and jewel shapes as well.  And how about sticking part of your custom transparency under something else (like a flower) for added funky dimension.  I would love to see you try this technique with my Sketch Challenge.

Happy Scrapping
