A Shimmerz Card to Share
I wanted to share this card I created using the October challenge at the Shimmerz Blog. The challenge is to create a card with a different shape or a holiday theme or any card really. Well I created an Easel Card with an Aussie Holiday theme… Here in Central Queensland Christmas is hot, and the holidays are not just about gifts, Santa and the Birth of Christ. We celebrate the heat and the colours and the food and especially the Pool and Air Conditioning. I created my card with all of this cheer and brightness in mind.
I slapped some Golden Absorbent Ground on my backgrounds before flicking the Shimmerz Vibez over the top. I have a tutorial planned for November that will explain more about the Absorbent Ground.
I have tipped all of the flowers with the Shimmerz goodness too.
This is the challenge graphic that inspired my card:
Now for what I used:
Patterned papers – MME Fine & Dandy Girl Paper Pad
Cardstock – Bazzill Kraft
Bling – Bo Bunny
Word Stickers – Tim Holtz
Ink – Versacolor (Pinecone)
Buttons & flowers – Fancy Pants
Pearls – Basic Grey
Shimmerz products – Shimmerz Marigold, Vibez Jeni B Bleu, Vibez Pop Art Pink
I will be back soon to explain my new page (here) and to share some the reasoning behind my absence in October.
