Archi-scraps – May 2016 – Noah Layout
Well I am back this evening with only a few hours to spare in sharing yet another layout I created at the Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat I recently hosted. This layout is for the May challenge at the Archi-scraps blog owned by my friend, Julene.
The challenge this month was to use the Inspiration image (above) and the following instructions:
We want you to include LAYERING AND SOMETHING REFLECTIVE eg foil, glitter, pearls, sequins etc this month.
Here’s your chance to use up some of those scraps!
My reflective items are glitter glue (some copper and gold I have had since the dawn of time), glitter paper I cutter into stars, epoxy dots (sooo shiny), micro beads (also been in the stash too long), pearls and shimmery mists. Obviously reflective stuff wasn’t too hard to find in my stash.
From the inspiration image I wanted to represent the sky somehow, so decided to cut out some hot air balloons from the Kaisercraft papers I was using – also super old, but still very cool. And of course all of this stuff had to lead to loads of layers on my layout – another tick off the list.
Lastly I wanted to echo the grid pattern on the walls of the building so got out my trusty Prismacolor Watercolour pencils, Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and a brick stencil. This was seriously fun and really really time consuming, but so worth the effort.
So that is my layout for the May challenge at the Archi-scraps blog, and unless you have super powers I don’t know if you will get this one finished in time from now – there is always next month though!
Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
