Scrap the Girls – April 2017 – Forever Fun

Hello and welcome to my take on the Scrap the Girls Moodboard Challenge for April.  I couldn’t resist doing this challenge as the teal colour family is my favourite of all the colour families, and the many beautiful textures in the Moodboard were inspiring too.  

I have used the colours represented in the Moodboard, including the peach and cream in two of the images.  The additional colours helped my layout to become more dynamic and gave a depth to the layers – without it everything seemed the same and flat.

I have included flowers, a watery background and hearts to represent some of the elements in the Moodboard.  I have also included a bird as a substitute for the car – both are always going somewhere and represent Freedom and Travel.  The photograph is of our beautiful daughter, Naomi-Jon who just happens to be learning to drive and exploring her own Freedom.

The textures in the Moodboard evoke a sense of layered beauty, which I tried to convey with the many and varied layers in my finished layout.
