Sketch Interpretation
I was looking for something to create the other day that wasn’t a work commitment, and then I came across a lovely sketch by Kelly-Ann Oosterbeek in the current issue of Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine. I loved the beautiful layered and feminine layouts that Kelly-Ann had created with her sketch, and thought it might be nice to challenge myself to use the layout for a clean and masculine layout. So here is the resulting layout…
I have been quite restrained with this layout with some simple misting on the background, distressing and inked edges being the only Mixed Media touches. I have to admit that it was hard to stop at just this, and I am so happy with the results.
I flipped Kelly-Ann’s sketch vertically before starting my layout. I have also used the Kaiser Curiosity range that has been selling very fast at Scrapbook Fantasies. This range is particularly feminine, and I was thrilled to create a masculine layout with it. Keep an eye on my Classes-to-Go page for a class kit you can purchase that uses this range for another masculine layout.
There are actually (and surprisingly) still some packs of these fabulous Prima Cogs available for purchase at Scrapbook Fantasies (instore only).
