Welcome back to my little blog and another post about a Challenge I couldn’t resist trying – the Show Us Your Stuff Recipe Challenge for April. The papers and some of the embellishments I have used were a challenge given to me by my bestie – Joanna Ford.

I started my layout with some Embossing Paste and a stencil, followed by layers of watery Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist and Golden High Flower Acrylic Paint. I have included washi tape, chipboard, fussy cut banners and lots of paper layers in my design – amongst other bits and pieces.

The Copper Coffee Stains were created with a Darkroom Door stamp and Copper Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist. The sequins were leftover from one of my classes at a Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat in 2016.

The chipboard Starfish were sprayed with Copper Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist before being coated in Glossy Accents. The Seahorse was a whole experience of it’s own, with the following list of layers (in this order):
- Embossing Paste
- Heat
- Copper & Teal Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mists
- Heat
- Copper & Teal Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mists
- Heat
- Glossy Accents
- Heat
I heated the Seahorse to the point of almost burning each time to get a good bubbly texture and crusty finish

I used Weathered Wood Tim Holtz Ink and a Blending Tool through a stencil for added visual texture in the background. The white spots are the Golden High Flow Acrylic Paint, that I have put in a fine tipped applicator bottle for better flicking.

Well that is my take on the Show Us Your Stuff Recipe Challenge for April, and now it’s your turn…..

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
