Scrapbooking for Myself
I love this layout that I created using a photograph from the Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat at Agnes Water in 2006. We are fast approaching our 11th Retreat Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat, which will be held at Kinka Beach. The reason for this layout is that I just felt like creating, and went with the flow of my own creativity.
I created the background using lots of water (until it pools) and several colours of mist from Shimmerz. Letting a piece like this dry naturally keeps the warping to a minimum, however if your in a rush use a heat tool and deal with the warping (chocolate and coffee help).
I also created a second background that I have given to a friend and will be back to share what she did with it in the next few days. (I know I have already promised this, and this time I will be back – as the holidays and my commitments to kids programs are over for the moment)
Now for some close-ups of my layout and the flower clusters, the secret of which is pop-up glue dots and no gaps.
This little roll of cardstock (6″x1″) and some seriously strong tape (Ranger Wonder Tape) is the secret to the turn-backs on my layout looking beautiful for years to come in my albums. It stops the turn-backs being squashed and looking beaten-up.
