Scrapbook Fantasies – Weekly Scrapbook Challenge #1/2014
Well it is the first Monday of the new year which means…the first of the Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Scrapbook Challenges for 2014. This is my eighth (yes 8th) year of hosting these fabulous challenges and I hope you will join in for your chance to win a voucher from Scrapbook Fantasies.
I don’t always get a chance to complete the challenges, however this year I am going to give 110% towards completing them all. As such I have decided to open the competition up to Project Life Style Layouts, which I will be showcasing each week.
This is my layout for Week #1/2014 using a number in the title:
After a conversation with my talented and inspiring friend Katrina I came to the decision last year that I wanted to use the Project Life concept to create layouts with my un-scrapped photographs from years past. I have boxes and boxes of photographs still to be scrapbooked from the past, and I find it overwhelming thinking about getting them into our family albums. Hence my decision to do this style of layout for the 2014 Weekly Scrapbook Challenges and hopefully empty some of those boxes.
For the title I covered a chipboard number 1 with some paper before sanding the edges – a blast from the past technique if there ever was one.
The photographs are from the 1st Birthday Party of Naomi-Jon’s best friend Christian – well Julie was my best friend so the babies didn’t have a choice. I wanted to also document with these photographs that poor Naomi-Jon missed the party that day due to having the Chicken Pox, and also how big Milton’s feet back then (nothing has changed there).
So there you have it my first of many sets of completed photographs ready to be put into our family albums. If you would like to complete this challenge (which I think you should) I recommend going to the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog and having a go – you can also view the layouts created by other Scrapbook Fantasies Design Team members there also.
