A Birthday, a Wedding and a Page
As promised here I am with loads of pictures and a full update of our weekend.
First of all Noah turned 5 on Friday and we had Mum over for his special Birthday dinner of his choice…Silverside (Meat-Meat), Chips and Choc Chip Cheesecake. The rest of us also ate some “Yucky Begables”. Here is a picture of what happened as soon as he blew out the candle.
On Saturday afternoon we went to the beautiful Wedding of Angela and Brendon. Angela is Quentins cousin, and the closest he has to a little sister. She looked absolutely beautiful and I started crying the moment the car pulled up. Angelas Mum, Robyn passed away over 13 years ago and we all felt her presence there with us on Saturday at the Wedding. I also wanted to share the beautifully handmade Cake topper that Angela had organised.
On Sunday we had a BBQ Lunch with family and friends to celebrate Noah’s Birthday, again. To start the day off the Oven blew an element again, just my luck. The photographs show the fun of the day and Noah loved his gifts, including the best darn Super-Hero Cape ever (from Russell and Jenny).
Finally this is a layout I created at the end of last week using Colour Palette #66 from The Colour Room. I love this colour palette as it works so well with boy themed pages. I have created the background paper using stamps and inks (one of my fav techniques) and used some of the new Out of Print range from Basic Grey.
Sounds like a busy weekend. Noah looks like he really enjoyed his birthday. Great page, and yes the colours are just right.
Regards
Dawn
