Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge – Prompt – July 2014

The prompt challenge this month at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge (AFSC) is:

Have you ever been recognized for something? Scholarship? Award? Employee of the quarter? Fifth place winner??? Published? Scrap or art journal about it.

And I chose to create my layout about my appointment to the AFSC Design Team for 2014, along with my super talented Mum.

My background is actually the cardstock I used to misted the caps on for the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mists used in the Limor Webber Workshops that I recently hosted at Scrapbook Fantasies.

I have added Faber Castell Gesso to my background, embellishments and flowers before giving them a bit more of a mist hit.  The Gauze (from the Chemist) has also been soaked in the different mists to co-ordinate with my layout.

I had a fabulous time creating this layout which came together really quickly once I had the initial idea to use the cardstock and print the AFSC Logo (and invitation email) instead of using a photograph.

So what are you waiting for – head on over to the AFSC blog and have a go at this fabulous challenge.

Products I have used:
Bazzill Black OP Cardstock
Prisma Favini White Cardstock
Xpress-It Blending Card (for printing)
Prima Flowers and Wood Butterfly
Faber Castell Gesso
Papermania Fabric Tape
Versacolor Black Inkpad
Zig Mangako 08 Black Pen
Tim Holtz Industrious Lettering
Carl Chevron Punch
Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Mists – Cosmpolitan Pink, Wild Honeysuckle Coral, Wake Me Up Before You Go Gold, Alpine Ice Rose, Plumeria Pink
Lindy’s Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Mists – Merci Beacoup Mint, Toto’s Tornado Black
Gauze (from the Chemist)

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
