CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration) File #31
I finally got a chance and the inclination to create with a CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration) File. I have missed doing these challenges so much, however I knew I would do this one the moment I saw the colours. They are so fresh, clean and fun. I came to a couple of realisations when I was creating this layout – that if given a chance to add a colour it will usually be white (or occasionally brown/cream/tan) and I don’t use black very much. If I can avoid using black I will, and I don’t know why. Maybe it is just too harsh for my taste or maybe I wore too much black as a teenager, although I still were black (pants, cardigans and the occasional top).
Anyway onto my layout, what I did, some close-ups, the evidence/testimony from the challenge that I used and the products that I used.
I applied embossing ink though a Crafters Workshop template onto the background, before adding embossing powder and heating it to create a section of patterned resist. I applied glue to the scalloped edges of the diecut rosettes before adding glitter for a sparkly edge, which needs to dry properly before folding.
