CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration) File #40
I couldn’t resist creating with the latest file at CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration), from the colours to the evidence to the testimony I was drawn in by it all. I used a beautiful photograph of Naomi-Jon from a time when she had some very high ambitions about what she would be when she grew up. Her ambitions have changed a little since then, however she is still the most beautiful girl in the world to us.
To create the background for my layout I randomly spread some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (Chandelier) on the cardstock. To reduce the warping caused by the over use of wet mediums (a commonon problem with my layouts) I applied the Glimmer Glam in the morning before heading out to work so that it would dry completely and naturally before I finished the layout in the evening.
I sprayed the dry background heavily with mist which I had to then leave dry naturally as I was determined not to have a warped background, just this once.
I wanted to challenge myself to use as much of the evidence from the CSI file without having a busy or overly cluttered layout (kind of simple, kind of layered). So for my evidence I have used polka dots, stripes, ribbons, scallops, elements that are circular (not necessarily circles), banners, tulle, a big flower and number stickers.
To accommodate the testimony (journaling) I chose I created a hidden journaling flipper under the large Prima flower. I used the wish prompt – “I wish to be an …… when I grow up. The I will …..”.
My hidden journaling reads:
“I wish to be an Artist, the head of the Army and then the Prime Minster whe I grow up. Then I will be able to help the World to have peace, happiness and beautiful Art. Naomi-Jon at seven years old you have a brilliant, creative and wild mind. We love that you have ambitions to do great things for the World and yourself. We don’t want yout to ever change, even though you will.”
