Guest Designing for Shimmerz – Easel Card
I am excited to be Guest Designing at the Shimmerz Blog for the month of December.
For this my last post I have created an Easel Card that started out being another example of the Frugal Cards concept, until I got to the end and just had to use the featured flower which I had been hoarding for quite some time. I like to see how much I can get the patterned paper in the way of images, tones and perceived texture – and this card is a good example of that.
This is my card:
I started by cutting my card layers and fussy-cutting lots of pretties out of the Prima Delight patterned papers. I then applied the Texturez Brick Wall with a palette knife through the Doily template. I love how the Texturez are the perfect consistency and quality for this kind of application as they look perfect even on intricate templates like this one.
Once I had finished my card I decided to do my favourite Shimmerz mist technique…flicking dots of multiple colours over the entire card. I love the softness that can be created with this technique by choosing a combination of Shimmerz mists colours that exist elsewhere in the project, even if they are not the feature colour.
Thank you for stopping by to see my fifth and final project Guest Designing for the Shimmerz Blog for December.
