Kraft It Up
Where has August gone? It has been a huge month for my family and I with my Mum turning 72, hosting my 10th Retreat for Scrapbook Fantasies, Quentin securing a new premises for Scrapbook Fantasies, Naomi-Jon’s breathing being addressed (more on this next month), Milton starting a new job at IGA South Gladstone and soooo soooo much more. I will be sad to see August go, as September is once again shaping up to be a very busy month for myself, my family and my business.
So by the skin of my teeth and with a day and a half to spare I have finished my Kraft It Up layout for August. This month the challenge was to use the provided sketch and of course…Kraft. I had a great time creating this layout about my little baby girl (again) and one of her other passions, playing on the computer keyboard.
I know some of you may think it is silly to create layouts about Blu-belle, however she is an important part of our family and is loved by us all very dearly. Blu-belle isn’t the youngest member of our family, however she is the smallest (other than the fighting fished named Shinee, who doesn’t make noise so doesn’t demand attention). George is 4 months younger than Blu-belle and a whole lot bigger than her. He is a bit of a show pony actually, all bright yellow and puffed up to show his importance.
I coloured the large letter stickers with the Worn Lipstick Distress Marker so that they weren’t so stark and attention seeking on the layout, as they were cream with dark pink diagonal stripes originally.
I have added a touch of the Worn Lipstick Distress Stickles to the wooden Mannequin cutout to give it a little shimmer without changing it from its natural colour.
