Yahoo Layout – Scrapbooking Top 50 Challenge
I was checking out some of the fabulous 123 Challenge entries recently and stumbled upon the May Sketch at the Scrapbooking Top 50 Blog. I was instantly inspired and knew the photograph and products I would use, and am very happy with the results.
Noah is such a fun and vibrant little boy, and I wanted my layout to reflect this. The Kaiser 2 Cool 4 School range has the perfect Blue paper to match Noah’s School shirt and Milton’s Drums. I raided several Kaiser sticker sheets to say what I wanted to express on my layout too.
I used some Gesso and a palette knife to cut back the busy background paper and then flicked some watery acrylic paint over the top, both Golden of course. The yellow mist was not in the original plan – it was just on the table and somehow got on the page.
Noah picked the title – YAHOO – which we all had a laugh with him about.
This little cluster in the top left corner isn’t exactly in the Sketch – it’s actually the Scrapbooking Top 50 logo up there – and I loved how it balanced and completed the layout so added it in.
There are still a few days left to get your take on the Scrapbooking Top 50 May Sketch in for a chance to win some awesome prizes:
Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
