Scrapping Everyday Miracles DT Reveal (Main Theme) True Friends Mixed Media Canvas

This is my first post as a member of the Scrapping Everyday Miracles (SEM) Design Team.  I have to thank Roberta and her fabulous team for making the team so friendly and easy to work with.  The assignments are well organised and everyone is both gracious and immensely talented in more ways than one.

The main theme for this month (January 2014) is “Friends Forever” and this is the lovely and true description that Roberta has put with it:

“Friends are truly a gift from God, and they come into our lives in many ways!”

I created this Mixed Media Canvas for the challenge, and taught it for my daughter, Naomi-Jon’s 13th Birthday last month.  Naomi-Jon and eight of her friends had a day of painting, glittering, eating and chatting with me at Scrapbook Fantasies, and they all created a lovely canvas about “True Friends” along the way.

The quote on the canvas’ reads:

“A true friend is someone who stands by you quirks and all”

This is a picture of Naomi-Jon and her canvas (more shots to follow):

I will be teaching this Mixed Media Canvas as a class at Scrapbook Fantasies on Saturday 25 January from 1pm and Tuesday 11 February from 10am.  For class bookings please email me on aredshaw@bigpond.net.au
