Couture Creations DT Reveal | Scoring Board Rosette Canvas Part 3
Hi and welcome back to the third post for my Rosette project – which is by far the most exciting for me as I am sharing with you my discovery of how to add foil to a Canvas background, Rosettes and almost anything else. Now don’t misunderstand me here this technique does not apply the foil perfectly or in a set or controllable pattern. It is very Random – and a bit Mixed Media looking – just my thing. The secret ingredient is my Craft/Travel Iron (or you could use your regular Iron if you don’t mind it getting a bit dirty) – and as you will see from my…

Couture Creations DT Reveal | Scoring Board Rosette Canvas Part 2
Hi and welcome back to the second post for my Rosette project – which is a Canvas with a Heart of Rosettes. I used my Couture Creations Heat Tool and Super Sparkle Embossing Powders to recolour the brads for the Rosette centres. I used Copper followed by Gold Super Sparkle Embossing Powder so that the finished brads had more depth and colour variance. I have used Helmar 450 Glue to adhere the Rosettes to the canvas so that they wouldn’t fall off when the canvas was hung on the wall. I have a short Video for you showing how painted the background with a mix of Gesso and Liquid Drops…

A Beautiful Transformation
Some of you may have been wondering what has been going on around here in the last year, other than having our fourth child arrive. We have been renovating a home that we didn’t quite fit into, and even so the results are stunning. We are so proud of the beautiful home we have created out of some pretty humble beginnings and now that it is on the market we wanted to share the results with you. Credit for these beautiful photographs goes to Brenda Strong and Margie Richards. Brenda owns Strong Images Photography, and I recommend her without question as her work speaks for itself. Brenda is also a dream to work…

Where Oh Where Have I Been?
Well yes indeed “Where Have I Been?” Basically I have been where I usually am, just not blogging so much. I have spent a lot of my time working and parenting lately, and not so much creating. We actually got a chance recently to travel to Dalby for a very short (less than 36 hour) visit, which was fun and enlightening. By enlightening I mean that I learnt how to make my own Laundry Liquid, and it is absolutely fabulous. We have seen a marked improvement in everyone’s Eczema, especially Naomi-Jon and Quentin’s since using the bottle Christine gave us. I spent about an hour this past Sunday making a…

Recipe Book and Kitchen Banner
I created this Recipe Book and Kitchen Banner for the display window at Scrapbook Fantasies using the new Nan’s Favourites range from Kaiser. I have to say that I am really liking what Kaiser are doing at the moment, especially compared to some other companies that are getting a bit same old same old with their designs. Anyways here they are and you can always check the display from today to see them in real life. (They are also for sale if anyone wants to give them a good home)

WOYWW and a Recipe
Well it’s Wednesday again and if you want to check out more WOYWWers go by and see Julia. My desk is covered in my ATC’s that are almost completed for the Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat in just over two weeks time. I also wanted to share my inkpad shelf and my organisation idea. I got these labels at the Office Supply Store and have simply inked them with each pad before sticking them on. Monday was a productive day with my page from last week getting finished… …then the cabinet from the lounge room being unloaded, cleaned, moved to the dining room and reloaded. Noah and I made some of my…

A Month of Happenings…
Well I have been promising to update for a while now and I just don’t seem to get there, so here goes with what has been happening over the last month… We got a new member of the family: Lulu is Noah’s special friend and she used her first set of batteries within a week, not so surprising when you consider how much love she receives. On the subject of Noah…who has been obsessed with wearing: Yes, fairy wings are his fav for dress-ups at the moment. I finished Grandma’s Album (pics coming in a later post) and we delivered on one of our trips to Bundaberg for Quentin to…

Reno Upate
Well I am in my new Studio (almost all of my stuff is in, just some more sorting to do), we have lawn and Noah’s new room is a bit more complete with a new block-out blind fitted today. I will take some more pics this week and will upload them here.

Reno Newsflash & Photo Share
We have had some serious goings-on in the backyard today….Oh and we are still undecided on whether to change the paint colour (even though we have finished two rooms, but really dislike it). Today we went shopping (4 weeks worth) and Noah got some new “Bubbles”. I couldn’t resist taking these pics of my men today. This is what my Office at home looks like now.
